Versailles Whisky Finish

Distillalion in a wooden pot still, and a long period of maturation followed by 54 months in ex-Scotch whisky casks, have given life to a full bodied but well-behaved rum.

Very flowery and vegetal at the nose, with chamomile and medicinal herbs, it’s perfumy, waxy and only slightly pungent (notes of camphor and white pepper). While very dry and mineral, at the palate it’s quite chewy: beeswax, again the herbal and peppery notes, lemon peel, a certain fruitiness but no funky esters. The finale is long on tea and chamomile.
