A vatting of two very old rums of same age: one with 4 years finish in a sherry cask, and one with 3 years and half finish in a whisky barrel. The result is fruity, intensely estery, rich with aromatic notes of cinnamon, cloves and camphor. The sherry cask adds notes of raisins and ripe dates to an otherwise very dry rum, and the balance between the two types of wood, between the sweetness and the naturally sharp profile of this type of still, is impeccable
