From the legendary closed Trinidad distillery, a rum with an extra touch of complexity. While very traditional in its tarry and heavily tannic taste, the result of its first accelerated years of oak maturation in a tropical climate, we have allowed it to mellow out a bit for the last seven years in an ex-sherry whisky cask. The result is still dark and quite extreme, with those classic notes of black liquorice, aniseed and coffee, but with an intriguing and luscious extra layer of juicy fruitiness, pastry cookies and raisins.
